The Blossom Screen consists of over 1000 pieces meticulously assembled. Inspired by spring and the idea of bringing the outdoors in, the petals of each flower are individually adjustable and can rotate to sit on either side of the screen creating shadows and tone variations on the flowers and panels.
The room divider connects together using an adaptation of the Japanese bookbinding method 'yotsume toj' rather then the conventional use of hinges.
